Adoptable Pet of the Day: Bunny!

Bunny is just the cutest, silly little munchkin around! This sweet pup has been with her current foster since the beginning of March and although she is a wonderful dog, she is still looking for that perfect family to adopt her! As she arrived to my studio for her photo shoot, Bunny quickly bounced around, exploring this new space.

Bunny loves the mud more than anything, so she needs a home that doesn't mind a little dirt! Her current foster mom states that Bunny is extremely smart and quickly learns how to train her humans, so it's important that her new family recognizes this and works with Bunny to establish boundaries as Bunny likes to see what she can get away with. Since Bunny is very treat-motivated, it isn't hard to win her over!

Name: Bunny
Age: 2 years
Favorite Pastime: Getting Muddy
Favorite Toy: Stuffed Kongs
Loves: People
Dislikes: Small animals (especially rabbits - yes, we see the irony)
Adoptable through: Pflugerville Pets Alive

Unfortunately, Bunny isn't a big fan of small animals, she would definitely do best in a home where she is the only pet. She does love all adults, although she hasn't been around kids very much, but with older, dog-savvy kids, Bunny would probably do fine. Of course, a meet and greet would best to ensure that both the kids and Bunny are comfortable before she goes home.

At the shelter, Bunny was scared and because of that, she wasn't on her best behavior. In her foster home, Bunny has thrived and is learning so much. Not only has she worked on her impulse controls and come a long way, Bunny is learning to respect boundaries and waits before going through a door, sits for her food and is getting to be a pro at 'checking in' with her handler to ensure that she is on the right path!

Bunny is an active dog and would do well in an active home - maybe one that likes to hit the trails!
