Every February, we host our
first fundraiser of the year! Even better, the last 3 years have kicked off with one of our very favorite rescues, Villalobos Rescue Center. If you aren't familiar with the rescue, you can catch up with the organization on Pit Bulls and Parolees, a show on Animal Planet that highlights not only the rescue program, but the amazing transformation of the Parolees that Tia (founder of VRC) hires as her employees!
I have loved Pit Bulls for as long as I remember, so it only seemed natural that I was drawn to this rescue and their wonderful show. What I didn't expect was to fall so in love with the stories of the parolees, the guys that Tia hires to run her day to day tasks at the kennel. Guys like Earl (featured here) who went from Parolee with no direction, to one of Tia's right hand men. Earl showed up out of the blue one day and truly won over the hearts of everyone that hears his story!
